Users of social networks may be 9% more productive
The use of social networks and online services as Twitter, Facebook and Orkut in the workplace may lead to increased productivity, according to a study performed by Australia’s University of Melbourne. The study says 70% of workers use the internet in the office for personal matters and this group was 9% more productive and creative compared to people that did not use the internet for fun. The reason is that browsing the web for personal issues may increase concentration, as people need to relax sometimes during the day.
