Smartphone sales to rise 11% this year
Smartphone sales may go up 11.1% in 2009, according to an iSuppli forecast. The most conservative growth forecast goes to 6% over 2008, although the consulting firm expects a fall in overall cell phone sales to 1.11 billion units, from 1.26 billion last year. iSuppli says high-end mobile phones will boost demand.
