Mobile phone user base rises 1.8% in May
The amount of mobile phones in operation in Brazil reached 157.5 million in May, 1.8% more than in April, according to the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel). Last month there were 2.9 million mobile phone lines installed, the best figure this year. In 2008, there are 6.85 million new users, over 9.6 million one year ago.
