Mobile phone usage and internet access evolve
The Internet Pop study reports mobile marketing went up 45.92% last year and Brazil already has 43.1 million people connected to the web. Of them, 20.4 million have broadband access, 51% of them in the lower-income groups, one percentage point more than in 2007. Advertising budget directed to the web reached R$ 748 million and this was the fastest-growing medium, with a 46.94% expansion, followed by paid TV (29.59%) and radio (21.84%). The internet, however, accounts for only 3.45% of the total ad budget.
