Mobile phone base up 1.62% in August
Brazilian mobile phone base has gone up 1.62% in August month-on-month, to 164.5 million subscribers, according to the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel). In the month there were added 2.6 million phones. In the year-to-date, there have been added 13.9 million mobile phones, the second-best figure this decade, only behind 2008 (17.4 million).
