Mobile phone base reaches 152 million in the country
The number of mobile phones running in the country reached 152.3 million in February, according to data released by the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel). Last month, there were sold 415,909 new phones, increasing the base in 0.27%. This year, 1.7 new cell phones were put in the market, far below the 3.1 million units sold in the first two months last year. There are now 79.94 mobile phones per 100 people in Brazil.
