Mobile content market goes up
From January to April, the mobile users base rose in a pace 41% smaller than in the same period last year. With the slowdown in the growth, mobile operators have changed to increase their revenues by content and data transmission. According to a Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) research, value added services accounted for about 10% of the income of the mobile companies last year. In 2009, this index may go up to 15% of total income. A Nielsen survey with 5,000 people found out 19% of consumers use value added services and the growth of 3G telephony and the same of more sophisticated devices will boost the market.
