Microsoft bets on mobile advertising
Scott Howe, Microsoft’s VP for advertising and publishing solutions, believes in five years mobile advertising will account for 10% of the total ad budget, driven by the demand in emerging markets and retail. An Ineum Consulting study says consumers are adopting devices as smartphones, a move that may help mobile advertising to grow. The investments may rise 45% per year, up to US$ 28.8 billion in five years, from today’s US$ 3.1 billion, or 0.6% of the total ad budget.
