MercadoLivre sells more than 6 million goods online
MercadoLivre.com, online auction retail site, said in Q1 web users sold more than 6 million goods for more than US$ 520 million, a 29.4% growth year-on-year. This positive trend was also reflected in the amount of users added to MercadoLivre in the quarter, with more than two million new users, leading the total to 35.7 million people. The company’s net profit reached US$ 5.4 million, 161% more than in the same period last year.
