Giraffas has good figures with ecommerce
Launched three months ago, the online branch of fast food chain Giraffas, Brazilian fourth largest, helped the company to increase by 7.4% the sales of its delivery service Giraffone. The company has invested R$ 1 million (US$ 526,316) in infrastructure, from the development of the website until the build-up of a private-owned call center. The investment has been also helping the company to improve average sales. While in the restaurants it goes around R$ 15.60, through Giraffone consumer’s average purchase jumps to R$ 20.70, not to mention delivery and package fees. The chain’s goal is to make delivery accounts for 10% of the companies total sales for this year, forecast to reach R$ 450 million (US$ 236.8 million). In São Paulo state, online sales already account for 15% of the total delivery revenues.
